The Golden Compass

As I am sure many of you know, an email had been circulating around advising everyone of the movie "The Golden Compass" being anti-God. From reading the article above it seems that many of you took heed of the warning. Even after advertising this everywhere you looked people seemed to have stayed home or went and saw something else. This is a good thing. I am not about to take my children to see a movie that leads up to the destruction of God.

As you get to the end of the article it says something about New Line Cinema's recent movies have not done so well at the box office. It points out that Rush Hour 3 was their big movie this year. It states that the Jim Carey movie "The Number 23" came and went quickly. I can't remember what this movie is about, but I know it wasn't a comedy. Just FYI movie moguls, no one goes to see Jim Carey being serious. The other movie was a film called "Rendition" this movie is about how the government is bad and the terrorists are good. No one went and saw this either.

With "The Golden Compass" and "Rendition" these movie do not appeal to the regular Joe. 99.7% of the United States population believes in God. Whether these people go to church or not has no relevence to the discussion. I would venture to say that the same percentage of people believe in the United States. So anti-war and anti-God movies are not going to do very well. People nowadays are aware that the media is full of anti-American ideals. They are not going to follow what these media types say. The funny thing is that the media types are so blind to the rest of the population that they keep churning out the hatred of America and the contempt for what America stands.

I will never understand why its ok to bash Christian and Jewish ideals and its ok to welcome hatred.

Good job going shopping (a great American tradition) and not going to see the hatred and bigotry of "The Golden Compass".
